Big Creek Country Club Golf

Big Creek Country Club is located in Mountain Home, Arkansas. According to Gold Digest it was the best public course to play golf in 2006/2007/2008 and 2009. The golf course has a reputation for being outstanding. In May of 2004, it was rated number 1 as the top course averaging 20 thousand rounds of golf or less. In that same year, it was rated in the top new courses opened in the past 5 years. Of course, Arkansas businessmen are proud of it. The continually vote it the best course in the state.

For a course to win that many awards, there has to be a good reason. And there is. It lays on almost 200 acres of rolling hills with lakes and a creek, Big Creek to be exact. The utmost of care has gone into the course. Each hole is designed to challenge the golfer, but still be fun for the Sunday duffer. No two holes are exactly alike, and the fairways range from 5,068 to 7,320 yards in length.

Great care has gone into the course's maintenance. The sand in the traps is white. Zoysia grass is used on the fairways, and bend grass on the greens. The perfect grasses for a state of the art course. A full membership to Big Creek Country Club will cost you an initiation fee of six thousand dollars and 200 dollars a month. That gives you full use of the golf course without having to pay any greens fees. Other less expensive memberships are available.
